Center for Women’s Business Research Announces New Board Members

Washington, DC – The Center for Women’s Business Research is proud to announce the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors.

Ann Drake, of Chicago, is Chief Executive Officer of DSC Logistics, Inc., a leading supply chain management organization with a nation-wide network, focused on supply chain capabilities that are adaptable, versatile and based on changing customer needs. DSC services include Logistics Center Management, Centralized Transportation Management, Business Process Integration, and related Knowledge-Based Services.

Gail McDonald, of Dallas, is the president of Transition Resources, Inc., a management consulting firm that specializes in executive coaching, team coaching, outcome-driven meeting facilitation, and organizational assessment. As an executive coach, Gail helps strong leaders and their teams accelerate their growth, shift out of their comfort zones, and move to the next level of performance and success.

Deann E. Murphy, of Greenwich, CT, is Founder and retired Chief Executive Officer of Craft Click, Inc., a consulting and product development company. Prior to Craft Click, Inc., Ms. Murphy was the Co-Founder, Owner, and Chief Executive Officer of Distlefink Designs, Inc., which created, manufactured, and distributed over 3,000 consumer products for the $9 billion craft and hobby industry.

Patricia Stensrud, of New York, is Founder and Principal of Hudson River Partners, LLC, an enterprise which is focused on restoration and development of residential properties. Prior to that, she held a wide range of corporate executive positions, the most recent of which was Chief Executive Officer and Vice-Chairman of Victoria + Co., the world’s largest fashion jewelry company and a division of Jones Apparel Group. She was instrumental in redefining the landscape and texture of the fashion jewelry industry, while tripling her company’s size and achieving number-one market share. Brands marketed included Givenchy, Judith Jack, Napier, Nine West, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, and others.

As entrepreneurs themselves, they will be a voice for women business owners; and because they come from diverse industries and geographic locations, they will help to expand the Center’s impact nationwide.”
