Wells Fargo Accepts Center for Women’s Business Research Award
WASHINGTON, DC – The Center for Women’s Business Research presented its 2005 Corporate Leading by Example Award to Wells Fargo & Company, at the Center’s 11th Annual Executive Roundtable on April 27 in New York City.
The Leading by Example Award recognizes individuals or organizations that are enlarging the possibilities for women business owners. The recipients of this award set the standard for others by demonstrating the courage and leadership to be a role model, and initiate programs and policies that unleash the full economic potential and power of women entrepreneurs.
“With their Women’s Loan Program, which began a decade ago and is now a part of their women’s financial services program, Wells Fargo has lead the way in recognizing the potential of women’s entrepreneurship,” said Marjorie Alfus, Chair of the Center for Women’s Business Research and President of Alfus Family, L.P. “As the history of women’s entrepreneurship is written, Wells Fargo always will be honored for bringing economic credibility to women business owners – not only in the financial industry, but throughout corporate America.”
